Firth Contractors is an owner-led specialist contractor delivering groundworks, fencing, landscaping and infrastructure services to marinas, universities, estates and commercial sites across the South East.
Founded by Bradley Firth, the company grew from a long-standing family landscaping business into a lean, highly capable operation built for commercial standards — while staying true to its roots of quality, care, and direct accountability.
Today, we work with organisations who value precision, reliability, and a tidy crew they can trust onsite.
Our Story
Firth Contractors began life as Firth Landscapes. As word spread about the quality of our work, we have grown to tackle increasingly larger and more complex projects.
With demand growing for groundworks, structural fencing, we rebranded to reflect who we’d become: more than landscapers — a fully certified commercial contractor with a practical, high-standard crew that understands compliance, health & safety, and client expectations.
We’re still the same people — just with bigger projects, better machinery, and sharper systems.
Meet the Director
My story:
After finishing uni (studying marketing) and jumping into a job, I quickly realised that the office life wasn’t for me and I yearned to be outside. So I entered the landscaping industry starting a long journey from the very bottom and worked my way up, honing my skills and picking up qualifications in Garden design along the way.
In 2018 I made the plunge into business with one of my best friends, and we created ProGro Landscapes. We started with a rusty old van and some knackered tools, and proudly built it to a success with two teams, providing gardens and maintenance services to some of the most prestigious estates in Berkshire.
After going through the pandemic, myself and my wife decided that ‘life’s too short’, and in 2022 we made the big decision to move with our two young daughters to the beautiful West Sussex coast, leaving my business to my best friend to run and maintain our excellent reputation we had made.
And so FIRTH CONTRACTORS was born! Continuing to deliver quality workmanship and beautiful outdoor spaces, but this time - with my wife, and across the West Sussex coast for commercial clients. We are excited to meet you and build your visions.
