There are 3 choices - composite, hardwood, treated softwood.

Many composites fall short, we only recommend Millboard because it has consistent results and it really is beautiful. It is anti rot, anti warp, and extremely low maintenance. We absolutely love the product, the downside is it requires a healthy budget.

Hardwood is for those who love the feel and look of real wood. it has long durability and is still a high end option.

Treated softwood timber decks are a great budget option. The softwood decks require the most maintenance, mainly cleaning to reduce lichen growth which can make it slippy.

Can you add lighting?

Yes — we regularly install lighting. because of the space in he sub frame, adding lighting to your project is very straight forward.
